hubble bubble toil and trouble
I saw an earlier report on the Hubble news a few days ago, but I tried to believe that it wasn’t just Bush-oriented budget cutting ($1 bil is a nice chunk of change, even after he grabs Social Security) but rather the natural end of the Hubble.
As usual, I seem to have been wrong — the astronomers were quite surprised. I guess they shouldn’t have been — all that activity in the Middle East ain’t cheap, and with the current price of crude oil we can spare no expense!
